This series is an experimental study of the alto saxophone in relation to space, aiming to visualize the sound of an instrument.

I was inspired after visiting Saodat Ismailova's temporary exhibition in the Pirelli HangarBicocca called A Seed Under Our Tongue. Her film works were projected on huge displays and through multiple translucent screens, commenting on cultural, social, and political experiences of Central Asia.

The middle poster examines the 23 keys a standard saxophone has and the repertoire I have performed. The braille that overlaps the keys is translated music notes from "Pequeña Czarda" by Pedro Iturralde, a popular piece for saxophonists. Bridging the gap between the hearing-impaired and instrumentalists through spatial design is a goal I wish to explore.

Through this technique, I thoroughly researched the background of the saxophone, who Adolphe Sax was, and what political and cultural impacts it had as a result of being recognized as an instrument.
