This speculative work positions Think Coffee as a calming retreat within the city. The flagship site is located on Fifth Avenue in a dense, active commercial corridor. This location benefits from close proximity to landmarks and excellent transit access.
A fresh, inviting visual language offers a sense of escape from the urban pace, while the café experience reflects Think Coffee’s commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and community. Through the use of curved forms, natural colors, and a refreshed visual system, the identity feels softer and inviting. The result is a forward-looking brand that appeals to evolving customers while staying rooted in Think Coffee’s mission and values.
New York’s high stress levels highlight the need for calming environments. As natural spaces decrease, there is a growing demand for interiors that mimic nature. We designed a café that feels like a peaceful retreat using greenery, sensory elements, and calming materials.
Completed with co-graphic designer Anna McDermott and interior designers Kaitlyn Vetsch, Dawson Cobb, Jacqueline Fox, Cecillia Meyer, and Kristina Kuhlmann.
Selected for Midwestern Graphic Design Biennial in Environmental Design (2026).
